The Colquitt County ESOL teachers would like to congratulate Cox ESOL teacher Pamela Ferguson on the arrival of her new daughter, Kensi Ann, on January 17th! 

Colquitt County School System met Annual Measurement Achievement Objectives for the third consecutive year for the 2010-2011 school year. For Criteria 1, 63.1% of ELs showed progress on the ACCESS test (target- 50%). For Criteria 2, 16.9% of ELs reached proficiency level (target- 6.25%). For Criteria 3, the EL subgroup made academic performance requirements.

This September and October, WIDA is offering a sneak preview of its 2012 Edition of the English Language Development Standards. The purpose of this draft release is to collect feedback from a variety of stakeholders in the field prior to finalizing the draft.
