The following site contains information on Confederate forces raised by the State of Georgia.  It contains a list indexed by the "Official" Name (i.e.  10th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Cobb's Legion, Infantry Battalion, etc.),  a list indexed by the "Local" Name (i.e. Acworth Grays, Ivey Guards, etc.), a list of the Georgia Confederate Generals, a list of the "Official" Name of Confederate forces raised by all the states and territories.  Links exist to known pages on Georgia units, both in this site and others.  If you know of any site that is not listed, please click here and it will be included as quickly as possible.

My primary area of interest is the Semmes'-Bryan's-Simms' Brigade, that was made up of the 10th, 50th, 51st, and 53rd Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry.  Included in this site are transcriptions of letters and articles on these regiments.  If you have an interest in these units, or just want to read some primary sources, please follow the links below to the pages.  There is also a roster by company and one alphabetically of the 10th Regiment.
