Parents who choose to drop off students in the morning and/or pick them up in the afternoon should follow the same route in both the morning and afternoon.
Parent Morning Drop-Off Directions
- Drive east down Park Avenue in front of the Achievement Center and Colquitt County Board of Education meeting room.
- Turn right onto Lane Street and drive by Withers Auditorium.
- Turn right into the GEAR parking lot and drive by the music room.
- In the morning, students who arrive before 7:40 will be dropped off at the cafeteria door. Students who arrive after 7:40 should enter the school through the front doors. Students who arrive after 7:40 may not be able to eat breakfast at GEAR.
- Once you have dropped off your student, exit the GEAR parking lot at the Hwy 319 Bypass traffic light. Please stop at both stop signs and watch for other vehicles as you exit the parking lot.
Parent Afternoon Pickup Directions
- Drive east down Park Avenue in front of the Achievement Center and Colquitt County Board of Education meeting room.
- Turn right onto Lane Street and drive by Withers Auditorium. In the afternoons, we ask that parents who arrive before 2:05 p.m. stop at the last light pole before they reach the GEAR parking lot and NOT enter the GEAR parking lot until all buses are gone.
- Turn right into the GEAR parking lot, and give your student's name to the staff member on duty.
- Your student will be waiting near the front of the building. Please pull all the way down to your student.
- If you arrive after 2:45, your student might be inside the front office. Please park and walk inside to pick him or her up.
- Once you have your student, exit the GEAR parking lot at the Hwy 319 Bypass traffic light. Please stop at both stop signs and watch for other vehicles as you exit the parking lot.
- Parents who are picking up students after Stage Hawgs, strings practice, or Y sports should follow this same procedure.
