9th grade Physical Science and Biology teacher, Mrs. Lee Causey received the "I'm a Bright Ideas Teacher" grant from Colquitt EMC in the amount of $750. Bright Ideas awards money to teachers for innovative lessons and projects to energize students learning abilities. The purpose of the Bright Ideas Program is to provide resources for teachers that will enable them to plan and implement special instructional opportunities to improve student achievement through the implementation of the Georgia Performance Standards. Mrs. Causey writes, "I’m so excited to replicate Mendel’s pea plant experiments with my students thanks to Colquitt EMC’s Bright Ideas Teacher Grant!"
