C. A. Gray staff welcomed students to the first day of their junior high school year in full academic regalia. High school robes through doctoral velvet tams sprinkled the campus. During the assembly with each grade level, Principal Dr. Fred Smith offered inspiration to our 8th and 9th graders.
“Our goal for all of you is to look like us in a few short years. This is your path to graduation. We want to imprint, to burn into your brain, that every day that you come to school matters to work towards your graduation. These adults in this room were born to help you achieve your goal.”
Students and staff moved outside towards the front of the school following each assembly where they stood together to form the numbers of their graduation year. Stay tuned for those images!
