ABOUT OKAPILCO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Okapilco Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Moultrie, GA in the
Colquitt County School District.  It enrolls approximately 400 students in grades PreK through 5th. 
Dr. Gistacy Brown is the Principal of the School.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Welcome to Okapilco Elementary School, where we are “Dedicated to Excellence''.  We are extremely excited to offer grades PreK through 5th. At Okapilco, our teachers and staff focus on the whole child.  We teach Reading, Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. Our electives are Physical Education, Art and Technology.  Students have the opportunity to get involved in over 10 different clubs.

School Hours / bell schedule

Parent Drop-Off: 7:15 A.M.
Parent Pick-Up: 2:35 P.M.

Parents may begin dropping students off at school as early as 7:15 AM on school days. Students are to be dropped off at the back of the school. A paved roadway leads to the drop off location.  Enter the southern most driveway and remember that all traffic is one way. The driveway in the front of the school is for bus drop offs. Please pay close attention to safety signs, safety cones, and barricades.  These safety features are to alert everyone to follow procedures.  Here at Okapilco we value the safety of our students and staff.  Thanks you in advance for not removing or going around any of these marked areas!  

Monday - Thursday
Students will go to the gym until 7:30.
One Friday each month will be Morning Assembly in the gym at 7:45. These days to be announced. 
Classes Begin: 7:45 A.M.

Bus Pick-Up: 2:35 P.M.
Parents may begin picking students up at school as early as 2:35 PM on school days. Students are also picked up at the back of the school. The same paved roadway used for dropping off students is used to pick up students. Enter the southern most driveway and remember that all traffic is one way. The front driveway is to be used by the buses only.  

YMCA Primetime: 2:35 P.M.

Checking Students Out
Due to the safety of our students, we would prefer that students not be checked out after 2:00 P.M.
