Colquitt County High School Celebrates Exceptional Gains in Advanced Placement Program

Colquitt County High School (CCHS) is proud to announce remarkable achievements in its Advanced Placement (AP) Program for the 2023-2024 school year. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our students and educators and our commitment to academic excellence.

Impressive Gains in AP Exam Performance
CCHS students have made significant strides in several AP subjects, with performance far exceeding both previous years and global averages:

  • Calculus AB: Increase from 80% in 2023 to a perfect 100% in 2024, compared to the global average of 64%.
  • Chemistry: 100% in 2023 and 2024, surpassing the global average of 75%.
    English Literature: Increase from 64% in 2023 to 100% in 2024, well above the global average of 72%.
  • Government: A significant improvement from 27% in 2023 to 76% in 2024, outperforming the global average of 73%.
  • Physics 1: An increase from 47% in 2023 to 57% in 2024, above the global average of 46%.
  • Pre-Calculus: A new AP course in 2023 with a strong first year, outperforming the global average by 18%. 
  • World History: A substantial jump from 53% in 2023 to 73% in 2024, exceeding the global average of 64%.
