Join us in congratulating Colquitt County High School Agriculture Mechanics teacher Will Burt on being named the District Teacher of the Year!
Will Burt teaches Agriculture Mechanics at Colquitt County High School. He received his bachelor's in agriculture education from The University of Georgia and his master’s in agriculture education from Auburn University. He went on to receive his specialist degree in agriculture education from Murray State University and is currently pursuing his doctorate in agriculture education also from Murray State University.
Mr. Burt has taught eight years and shared his thoughts on being selected, "I am truly humbled and consider it an honor to represent the faculty and staff of Colquitt County High School. Most of all, giving my students the tools to make a difference in their futures is one of my greatest accomplishments."

This is Mr. Burt's first time being named a Teacher of the Year. Mr. Burt and his wife Ashley have two children: Liam and Bowen.
