Colquitt County High School Recognized for Achievements in Advanced Placement

Colquitt County High School has been recognized for its commitment to academic excellence and Advanced Placement (AP) success, earning multiple distinctions from the College Board.  These awards highlight the school's dedication to expanding access to rigorous coursework while ensuring student success in AP exams.

Colquitt County High School has received the following AP Honor Awards:

  • AP Access and Support School – This recognition is awarded to schools where at least 30% of AP exams are taken by students who identify as African American and/or Hispanic, with a minimum of 16 students.  Additionally, at least 30% of all AP exams must earn a score of 3 or higher.  Colquitt County High School's commitment to inclusivity and academic achievement has earned this prestigious distinction.
  • AP STEM School – Schools receiving this honor must administer at least five AP exams in four separate STEM courses (math, science, and computer science), with a minimum of 25 total exams administered.  Colquitt County High School's dedication to STEM education has helped students develop the skills needed for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
  • AP STEM Achievement School – This award is given to AP STEM Schools (as defined above) where at least 50% of all AP STEM exams earn a score of 3 or higher.  Colquitt County High School's outstanding performance in STEM coursework and AP exam success showcases the school's excellence in preparing students for college and career opportunities in these high-demand fields.
