Yearbook Club

The yearbook committee is responsible for putting together the yearbook for the school year. Joining the yearbook committee gets students involved on all levels – from mingling with students, to attending school events, and actively participating in something that benefits the entire school body. Students learn all about digital editing, photography, and communication skills. 

4-H

4-H is a youth organization for boys and girls in grades 4– 12. 4-H teaches leadership and members are encouraged to participate in county, district, and state-wide 4-H activities, volunteer for community service, and participate in a project each year.

C.H.A.M.P.S.

Advisor: Colquitt County Sheriff's Deputy

C.H.A.M.P.S. is a twelve-week program that targets fifth graders. The program was designed by the Georgia Sheriff’s Association and stands for Choosing Healthily Activities and Methods Promoting Safety.  C.H.A.M.P.S. promotes child participation in health activities that are drug and alcohol-free, non-violent, and promote safety. Some of the course programs include Alcohol Awareness, Drug Awareness, Choices and Consequences, Positive Alternatives, Vehicle Safety, and Seat Belt Usage.The flexible, twelve-week program includes a weekly hour-long lesson from a  C.H.A.M.P.S. Certified Deputy Sheriff.   Subject matter includes: Internet Safety, Bullying (Gangs, Violence, Peer Pressure, Choices, and Consequences), Alcohol, Drugs (Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Prescription Drug Abuse),Outdoor Activities (ATV Safety, Fishing, Hunting and Firearm Safety).

BETA Club

Beta Club is by invitation only to students who have an 85 or above average in each subject, are on grade level, and have no more than one office referral in a year.
