Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports of Georgia

Positive Behavorial Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school's sense of safety and support improved academic outcomes.  

Doerun Elementary is committed to implementing the PBIS program and uses the DEER acronym to remind students of their responsibility while at school.  

D - I will Do my best.

E - I will be Engaged.

E - I will make sure Everyone is safe.

R - I will be Respectful.

"Deer Bucks" are passed out by all teachers and are used for positive behavior reinforcement.  Students may use their bucks once a month in the PBIS store or save them for later use.
