Letter from the principal

Packer Family,

As we embark on a new school year, I am filled with excitement and pride to be part of the Colquitt County High School family. This year brings new opportunities for our students, parents, teachers, staff, and our supportive community. Our focus remains on building upon our past successes and embracing new challenges and experiences. The faculty and staff at Colquitt County High School are dedicated to providing the best educational experience for our students.

At Colquitt County High School, we are committed to preparing our students for life beyond high school. Our Packer+1 initiative ensures that each student will be "Enrolled, Enlisted, or Employed" after graduation. This plan is designed to tailor each student's educational experience to their desired path: college, the military, or entering the workforce. Our course offerings include Advanced Placement, post-secondary options through Dual Enrollment, and a variety of career pathway courses designed for workplace readiness through our CTAE program which offers 22 pathways.

We encourage our students to actively participate in the high school experience by getting involved in our numerous extracurricular activities. We offer 18 competitive sports and activities and a rich fine arts program that includes our historic Choral Program, "The 50 Regiment" marching band, One Act Play, art, and musical productions. Our academic competition teams, including the Math Team, Literary, Academic Decathlon, Robotics, Science Olympiad, and Mock Trial, provide further opportunities for student engagement. Additionally, our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) student organizations, such as FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, HOSA, Skills USA, and MCJROTC, continue to uphold the proud traditions of Colquitt County High School.

To our students, we welcome you to a new school year. Our goal is to provide a safe and caring environment while preparing you for the future. By practicing commitment, hard work, passion, good attendance, and responsibility, you can make the 2024-2025 school year your best yet. Remember, we are here to support, encourage, and help you achieve your best. You are not alone in this journey.

Onward Packers!
