Packer football
Steeped in tradition, dedication, hard work, character building and academic excellence the Packer Football Program dates back to 1913. Beginning in the fall of 1978, Moultrie High School was consolidated with the other two high schools in Colquitt County, Norman Park and Doerun High Schools, to form what is now known as “Colquitt County High School“. On October 13, 1913 the first Packer football team took to the field against Norman Institute and 2018 marks 105 years of Packer Football.
Nearly 105 years later the Packer Football Program remains stronger than ever. With 3 State Championships 1994, 2014, 2015, along with claiming a National Championship in 2015 with the back to back State Championship titles of 2014 and 2015 (30-0 record), the Colquitt County Packers have become a nationally recognized High School Football powerhouse.
Since 2009 the Packers are (36-8) in the Georgia High School Football Playoffs. Since 2008 the Packers are 119-35-0. Since 2009, the Packers have reached the quarterfinals each year, the semifinals nine times and the State Championship game five times, winning twice.
The Packers compete in region 1 7A within Georgia’s highest public school classification of 7A and are a GHSA member school. Home games are played at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium in Moultrie, Georgia.
