GHSA One Act Play Competition- Fall

GHSA One Act Play is a Region event in all classifications. Each participating school must prepare and present a fully-staged play of no longer than 55 minutes--”bare stage to bare stage.” Students who compete in the play must meet GHSA eligibility requirements. 

The One Act Play competition is an acting competition. Emphasis is on acting, not on technical elements. Students who would like to work on the technical crew, design, paint or build sets, to work on the technical elements of the One Act Play, to make costumes or work as makeup artists are encouraged to contact the One Act Play coordinator/coach. 

Each Region will announce the following awards as appropriate:

Region Champion
Runner-up
3rd Place
4th Place
Best Actress
Best Actor
Up to two All-Star Cast awards 

The Region 1-7A One Act Play Competition will be held on October 25, 2022 at Camden County High School. 

The Region Champion will advance to the state Class 7A competition held Nov. 19, 2022  at Jackson County High School, Jefferson, Georgia.
